Kiss is one of the most desirable thing in the world and right from small babies to kids to teens to youths to adults, everyone longs for a kiss. But what makes a kiss so desirable? That little pucker of soft and tender lips on our cheek, lips, forehead, hand etc etc etc gives us the most pleasurable feeling of the world. The reason is nothing but our senses. Our sense for kiss gets so developed even as a baby that we tend to recognize love only by a kiss. Remember Pavlov’s experiment with dog? Its all about relating something to a particular condition. Pavlov’s conditioned reflex experiment needed a mention here because we get conditioned to a reflex (of love) when we are a baby, with so many people kissing a baby with affection. This conditioned reflex develops, as we grow and relates with the brain cells that recognize pleasures. Though intent plays a major role here since we are humans and not Pavlov’s dog, we have a highly developed brain that has the ability to perceive a lot of things other than just a kiss.
The desire to kiss, hence, comes out naturally for humans and cannot be manipulated in any way. Based on intent and our reflexes hones since childhood, we not only enjoy a kiss but long to receive one. |
